🌊 PLEASURE CRAFT
The ENVGO (the company is based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) NV1 is an all-electric boat designed to deliver high performance and sustainability without sacrificing comfort or functionality. As part of the emerging wave of electric watercraft, the NV1 is built to appeal to both eco-conscious boaters and those seeking a thrilling, quiet experience on the water. The boat's sleek design is not only modern but also optimized for electric propulsion, allowing it to glide efficiently with minimal drag.
Mike Peasgood is the co-founder and CEO of ENVGO and has an extensive background in technology and entrepreneurship. Prior to founding ENVGO, he co-founded Aeryon Labs in 2007, a leading manufacturer of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) used in various sectors, including public safety and defense.
Key specifications of the ENVGO NV1 include its propulsion system, which is powered by an advanced electric motor that offers a peak output of 245 kW (125 kW continuous). This motor is paired with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack at 80 kWh. This setup provides a range of up to 125 km (80 miles) on a single charge at cruising speed, depending on water conditions and load. The top speed is approximately 43 knots (about 50 mph), making it fast enough for a range of recreational uses. This speed and performance is likely enabled, in part, by a carbon fibre hull design.

The boat’s dimensions are designed to be versatile, with a length of around 8.3 meters (24.5 feet) and a beam of 2.6 meters (8’6”). This makes it suitable for a variety of activities, from leisurely cruising to, perhaps, more sporty pursuits .
Onboard, the ENVGO NV1 offers a spacious, ergonomic layout, with seating for up to six passengers. The boat also integrates smart systems for real-time performance feedback, navigation assistance, and connectivity, ensuring a seamless experience for the user.
ENVGO has partnered with renowned superyacht designer David Weiss of Designova Creative and a seasoned America’s Cup naval architect to ensure top-tier design and engineering.
The NV1 is equipped with safety features such as: self stabilizing avionics, safe foiling, redundant sensors, and active battery monitoring.
Check out the design here. Their website indicates the boat will be available in 2025! Be sure to check out their monthly update section, to follow the boat’s development activities.

Genevo Marine, a pioneering Australian company, is launching an equity crowdfunding campaign to support the development of its E8 electric speedboat, which will be the country’s first fully electric production boat. The E8, at the design stage, is an 8.2-meter center-console boat built from recycled aerospace carbon fiber, featuring a proprietary electric drivetrain, retractable foil assist, and real-time telemetry. Designed for the growing global electric boat market, the E8 is poised to lead with innovative technology and sustainability, backed by existing domestic and international sales interest. Proceeds from a potential financing will be used to build a prototype.
The boat’s key features include:
Length: 8.2 meters (26.9 feet)
Construction: Aerospace-grade recycled carbon fiber
Drive System: Proprietary electric drivetrain for scalability and cost efficiency
Retractable Foil Assist: Enhances performance and energy efficiency
Technology: Equipped with machine vision telemetry and over-the-air updates for real-time monitoring
Genevo Marine has been accepted into the Australian Federal Government's Industry Growth Program, which validates their innovation and provides opportunities for grants. With the electric boat market projected to exceed $19 billion by 2031, Genevo Marine is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth.
