The Photon Marine P300 electric outboard engine is a significant step forward in marine propulsion technology. Designed for commercial and recreational use, it combines robust performance with environmental sustainability.

The P300 delivers 300 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. This power ensures the engine can handle demanding operations across various vessel types. It is built to replace traditional gas-powered outboards without compromising performance.

Two battery configurations are available: 63 kWh and 126 kWh. These options allow operators to select the capacity best suited for their operational needs. DC fast charging is supported, enabling a full charge in 45 minutes per battery pack. For overnight recharging, Level 2 systems operating at 240V/50A provide a practical alternative.

The P300 is designed for versatility. It can be configured in single, double, triple, or quad setups, accommodating a range of vessel sizes and purposes. This adaptability makes it an ideal choice for water taxis, mariculture vessels, tourism boats, and workboats.

The engine’s electric design eliminates greenhouse gas emissions, protecting marine ecosystems and meeting stringent environmental regulations. It also produces almost no noise or vibration, creating a more pleasant experience for passengers and crews. Maintenance requirements are significantly reduced compared to traditional internal combustion engines, translating to lower long-term operating costs.

The UIM E1 World Championship, the world’s first all-electric powerboat racing series, launched its second season on January 25, 2025, with the E1 Jeddah Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia. Aoki Racing Team emerged victorious in this season opener, securing first place with a total of 39 points. Team Rafa and Team Blue Rising followed, earning 30 and 24 points respectively.

The E1 Series continues to attract high-profile team owners from various sports and entertainment sectors. Notably, NBA superstar LeBron James has joined the championship as the owner of Team AlUla. His team is named after the ancient oasis city in Saudi Arabia and will be piloted by racers Rusty Wyatt and Catie Munnings. James expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “As a lifelong fan of sports and competition, the opportunity to own an E1 team that represents such a high level of innovation in sports is incredibly exciting.”

LeBron James joins a distinguished group of team owners in the E1 Series, including NFL legend Tom Brady, tennis icon Rafael Nadal, and actor Will Smith. The championship features high-speed electric boats known as RaceBirds, capable of reaching speeds over 50 knots (92 km/h). The 2025 season includes races in locations such as Doha, Lake Como, Monaco, and Miami, with additional venues to be announced.

The next event in the series is the Visit Qatar E1 Doha Grand Prix, scheduled for February 21-22, 2025.
