🌊 WATERSPORTS

Launching within the next 3-weeks (designed and developed in Greenwood Lake, NY by Genesis Marine Technologies), the Genesis 24 is a hybrid wake surf boat.

This boat will feature the Trident Hybrid System with a 200kWh battery, a 23kWh onboard gasoline generator, and a 600HP/1000 lb-ft torque electric motor. It offers 50% better fuel efficiency compared to other 24’ WakeSurf boats and includes a revolutionary Launch Control system for precise power output control.

The boat has a 4,500lbs ballast system, provides up to an hour of riding in Electric Mode, and offers weekend-long adventures in Hybrid Mode. The Gen X Hull and Gen 3 Ballast System offer superior wake/surf technology and the largest wakesurf wave in its category, respectively.

The Takuma eTow is a self-controlled electric towing watercraft (for use by surfers and foilers) - the company is taking reservations on their website.

The company’s website lists the following features/specifications:

  • 60 - 85 minutes of run time

  • Up to 45 km/h top speed

  • Control using remote up to 600 meters away from vessel

  • Utilizes two jet propulsion

📅 EVENTS

The E1 Series, an electric boat racing series, has an exciting lineup of races scheduled for its 2024 season. Here's a brief overview of the upcoming races:

  • February 2-4: The season kicks off with the Jeddah Grand Prix.

  • May 11-12: Next up is the Venice Grand Prix, offering a picturesque backdrop for the race.

  • June 1-2: The Puerto Banús Grand Prix follows, adding a luxurious touch to the series.

  • June 29-30: Racers will then compete in the Geneva Grand Prix.

  • July 26-27: The Monaco Grand Prix, known for its glamour, is part of the schedule.

  • September 7-8: The Rotterdam Grand Prix brings the series to the Netherlands.

  • November 9-10: The season concludes with the Hong Kong Grand Prix.
