E-Foiling is growing popularity - celebrities are getting involved. Lindsey Vonn, the celebrated Olympic skier and all-around thrill-seeker, is no stranger to pushing her physical and mental boundaries. Renowned for her dominance on the slopes, Vonn has now taken her adventurous spirit to the water, embracing the exhilarating world of e-foiling. Her recent foray into this cutting-edge sport has sparked excitement among fans and fellow athletes alike.

E-foiling, a blend of surfing and hydrofoil technology, allows riders to glide above the water on an electric-powered board. For someone like Vonn, who thrives on speed and precision, the sport presents the perfect challenge. Balancing atop the board while maneuvering at high speeds requires a combination of core strength, coordination, and sheer determination—qualities Vonn has honed throughout her storied career.

Though she’s an elite athlete, Vonn’s introduction to e-foiling wasn’t without its challenges. Some videos on-line show her taking a few tumbles into the water, laughing off each fall with the determination fans have come to admire. Her natural athleticism and competitive mindset propelled her progress, allowing her to master the basics within a few sessions. As a quick learner, Vonn was gliding effortlessly, her trademark grin radiating triumph.

On the topic of resolutions for 2025, the University of Michigan Electric Boat team plans to break the electric water speed record! We’ll be following their journey.

According to social media posts, the team will be posting videos in the coming months. And, they plan the attempt to break the electric water speed record in May of 2025 on Lake Townsend in Greensboro, North Carolina. Good luck!

⚙️ E-SURF

MotoSurf is a company specializing in electric surfboards that offer a unique, motorized surfing experience without the need for waves, wind, or towing. Their boards are fully electric, eco-friendly, and portable, measuring 5 feet 7 inches in length and weighing as little as 70 pounds, including the battery. This design allows for easy transportation in a car, truck, RV, or boat.

The company's lead product, the MotoSurf Phase 3 Board, features a carbon fiber construction with a length of 67 inches, width of 24 inches, and height of 7 inches. It is powered by a 10 kW motor capable of reaching 6,000 RPM, achieving a top speed of 35 mph. The board weighs 48 pounds and supports a maximum load of 220 pounds. The accompanying battery is a 3.5 kW unit using high-grade Murata VTC6 cells, with a voltage of 48V and capacity of 56Ah. It offers a ride time between 20 to 40 minutes and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours using the fast charger.

MotoSurf was founded by innovators passionate about introducing a new, adrenaline-fueled watersport to enthusiasts. Their vision focuses on providing surfing freedom without dependence on natural elements like waves or wind, aiming to redefine the watersports lifestyle.
