🖌️ LUXURY YACHT GOES ELECTRIC
Ampros, a leader in electric propulsion systems, has partnered with Sialia Yachts to introduce a high-performance electric yacht that sets new standards in luxury and sustainability. This collaboration has resulted in a vessel that combines advanced technology with elegant design, offering an unparalleled experience for eco-conscious marine enthusiasts.
The yacht is powered by Ampros' state-of-the-art electric propulsion system, enabling it to reach speeds up to 43 knots, making it one of the fastest in its class. The propulsion system is complemented by a fast-charging capability, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 90% in just three hours, minimizing downtime and maximizing time on the water.
Constructed with a sustainable design, the yacht features a carbon fiber hull that reduces weight while enhancing strength and durability. This material choice not only improves performance but also aligns with environmental considerations by reducing the vessel's overall carbon footprint.
Safety has been a paramount focus in the yacht's development. It is equipped with the latest safety features, including real-time monitoring systems, collision avoidance technology, and emergency response protocols, ensuring peace of mind for both passengers and crew.
This collaboration between Ampros and Sialia Yachts represents a significant advancement in the electric yacht market, offering a vessel that does not compromise on speed, luxury, or environmental responsibility.

🌊 ELECTRIC OUTBOARD
Zparq, headquartered in Älta, Sweden, is a pioneering company in the realm of electric marine propulsion. Established in 2020 by founders including Jonas Genchel, Mikalel Sundberg, Nicholas Honeth, and Ivan Stenius, Zparq has rapidly advanced in developing compact and efficient electric motors for watercraft.
The company's flagship product, the Zparq Z10, is an electric outboard motor delivering 10 kW of power. Weighing 17 kg plus the mounting bracket, the Z10 operates at a propeller speed of 2,600 RPM. It offers both short and long shaft lengths and features electric trim and tilt functionalities.
The Z10 is complemented by a modular battery system with a nominal voltage of 96 V, comprising two 48 V units. Each battery has a capacity of 2.8 kWh, totaling 5.6 kWh, and is expandable with additional modules. Individual battery dimensions are 230 mm in height, 141 mm in width, and 512 mm in length, with a weight of 20 kg per unit. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 180 minutes, while a full charge from 10% to 100% requires 240 minutes using a 230 V, 6-ampere charger.
A notable innovation in the Z10 is Zparq's patented Hyperflow Cooling™ technology. This design allows the motor to be fully submerged without encapsulation, enhancing efficiency and reducing size and weight. The direct-drive system minimizes moving parts, leading to lower maintenance needs and higher reliability.
The Z10 system is designed for user convenience, featuring a plug-and-play setup that simplifies installation. Its modular battery packs are portable and ergonomically designed, allowing users to easily transport them ashore for charging. Multiple battery packs can be combined to extend the vessel's range, catering to longer journeys. Additionally, Zparq offers a mobile app that provides real-time monitoring of battery levels and estimated travel range, along with safety features like geofencing.

In recognition of its sustainable design and innovation, the Zparq Z10 received the 'Sustainable Product of the Year' award at the Stockholm Boat Show. The motor's compact form factor not only reduces raw material usage but also minimizes the CO₂ footprint during production, aligning with Zparq's commitment to environmentally friendly solutions.
Zparq's dedication to revolutionizing marine propulsion is evident in the Z10's blend of performance, efficiency, and sustainability, offering a compelling alternative to traditional combustion engines.

⚙️ FLEET ZERO
FleetZero operates from Birmingham, Alabama, focusing on energy storage solutions and battery-electric cargo ships designed to eliminate emissions in freight transportation. Founded in 2021 by Steven Henderson and Michael Carter, both graduates of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy with MBAs from Harvard Business School and Rice University, the company is reshaping maritime and rail logistics through electrification.
FleetZero’s Leviathan battery system, developed for marine applications, delivers 240 Wh/l volumetric and 142 Wh/kg gravimetric energy density at the DC system level. It is scalable from 200 kWh to several megawatt-hours, meeting regulatory standards from ABS, DNV, RINA, Lloyds, and ClassNK. A proprietary passive fire prevention system prevents cell-to-cell thermal runaway, enhancing safety. The system is free from nickel, manganese, and cobalt, reducing reliance on environmentally harmful materials.

FleetZero is also advancing fully electric cargo vessels using a battery-swapping model. Instead of long charging waits, ships exchange depleted battery containers for fully charged ones at designated ports, improving efficiency. To validate this approach, FleetZero retrofitted the Pacific Joule, a 2007-built anchor handling tug, with the Leviathan battery system, demonstrating that long-range electric shipping is feasible.
For rail applications, FleetZero developed the Behemoth battery, a 4 MWh system housed in stackable 20-foot half-height ISO containers. Each unit supports a 1C discharge rate, weighs 26 metric tons, and integrates into locomotives for full electrification or hybridization. Configurable for either DC or AC output, it includes passive fire prevention and active fire suppression to meet strict safety standards.
