According to their website, the E1 Series will “Usher in a new era of electric racing”. This series will utilize a boat, with an innovative hydrofoil technology, called the Racebird. This boat will feature a fully electric outboard motor, created by Mercury Racing, that produces 150 kW peak power. And, a battery system with immersive cooling technology, that includes a bespoke 35 kWh lithium-ion battery by Kreisel Electric technologies. The Racebird is touted to have a top-speed of approximately 57 mph.

Slated to start in 2024, the series plans for 7 races in Europe and the Middle East.

The E1 Series, co-founded by Alejandro Agag and Rodi Basso, aims showcase electric technologies as a pathway to a sustainable future with decarbonized boats.

With E-Foiling growing in popularity, the team at efoilracing.com have created a virtual racing experience. E-Foilers race against ‘time, themselves, and the world’. Based in Finland, each year they will qualify the fastest 12 E-Foilers for a World Cup Week.
