⚙️ OUTBOARDS
ePropulsion is making significant strides in the electric marine propulsion market with its range of environmentally friendly outboard motors. Known for combining sustainability with powerful performance, ePropulsion’s products are a popular choice among eco-conscious boaters.
The Navy Series is one of ePropulsion’s key offerings. The Navy 6.0 stands out with its 6kW power output, comparable to a 9.9 horsepower traditional gas outboard. This motor is ideal for small boats and sailboats, providing a quiet and reliable alternative to conventional motors. It features regenerative braking, allowing the motor to recharge the battery while under sail, adding an extra layer of efficiency.
Another popular product is the Spirit Series, particularly the Spirit 1.0. This portable electric outboard is lightweight, with a power output equivalent to a 3 horsepower gas motor. The Spirit 1.0’s integrated battery offers substantial range and is easily swappable, making it ideal for recreational boating. The water-resistant design and low maintenance needs make it a user-friendly choice for small boat and tender owners.
For inboard electric propulsion, ePropulsion offers the Pod Drive Series. These motors, including models like the Pod Drive 1.0 and Pod Drive 3.0, are designed for sailboats and small yachts. They are appreciated for their space-saving design and quiet operation, making them an efficient and practical choice for those looking to go electric.
ePropulsion also ventures beyond traditional boating with the Vaquita Electric SUP Motor, designed for stand-up paddleboards (SUPs). The Vaquita is lightweight and portable, providing up to 9km/h of speed, perfect for extending paddleboard adventures with minimal effort.
All ePropulsion motors feature smart displays that provide real-time data on battery life, speed, and range. Wireless controls add to the convenience, allowing boaters to have a more flexible and user-friendly experience. The commitment to sustainability is evident in the zero-emission, quiet, and efficient designs, which help reduce the environmental impact of boating.

The race marked a significant milestone for the E1 Series, with Lake Como joining other iconic locations like Monaco and Venice in the championship calendar. The beautiful setting and competitive spirit made this event a memorable one for both participants and spectators.
Team Brady remains the overall points leader. The E1 Series is not currently showing any upcoming races this season, but do have a placeholder on their website - stay tuned.
While not an electric boat story, the Canadian National Exhibition (held along Lake Ontario, in Toronto) brought a water ski show back to the 3-week event after a 5+ year absence. Check out the highlights in the clips below.
Maybe in future years, an electric boat will be used for these shows.
