⚙️ E-PONTOON BOAT
Pure Watercraft, which went bankrupt, set out to transform the boating industry by introducing electric propulsion systems that enhance the boating experience while minimizing environmental impact.
Their flagship product was the Pure Pontoon, exemplifies this mission by combining comfort with clean, quiet electric power.
The Pure Pontoon measured 25 feet 9 inches in length, extended to 27 feet 6 inches when including the outboards, and could accommodate up to 10 passengers. It offered configurations with either single or twin Pure Outboards, each equipped with integrated power tilt and trim. The expected top speed was to be up to 25 mph when lightly loaded and 23 mph when fully loaded.
The Pure Pontoon had a 65 kWh automotive-grade battery pack supplied by General Motors. Charging options included integrated Level I and Level II chargers supporting 120V-240V outlets, with Level II charging allowing a half-to-full charge in as little as four hours. The system also supported DC Fast Charging for expedited charging sessions.
Perhaps this boat and technology will be acquired by another group.
