Checking in on the XFoil 2 we wrote about in a previous issue. Their Indiegogo campaign indicates funding raised of $1,963,182 (CAD) by 244 backers.

An update from the manufacturer mentions this version of their product will ship with a ‘Gen 2’ battery - operating at up to 72 volts. Standard range battery will provide up to 80 minutes of runtime, and double this time with the long range battery. Estimated shipping is listed as December 2024.

⚙️ RECREATIONAL

A company named Terraflo has designed a unique boat for quiet rivers and waterways (approved by Transport Canada) - a 8’ × 16’ pontoon dock boat!

Various configurations are available: benches, bimini top, fishing rod holders, BBQ, ladder, anchor, life buoy, cleats, and more.

Their website suggests a capacity of 8 people or 3,500 pounds. The ideally power for a Terraflo is an electric motor (weighing ~55 pounds). If you don’t have access to a boat ramp, the company mentions the options for an onsite installation.
